If you want to submit to Journal Club, the best way to do that is to fill out our submission form under the "Submit" tab right here on our website, but be sure to read the submission guidelines first. You can peep those here.

Writing, visual art, photography, collages, paintings, comics, mixed media, blah blah.

We accept all forms of creativity, as long as it accommodates a printed issue. This does include video and audio work, but only if you want to add a QR code for readers to scan.

Don't freak out yet, we get it. It depends on how full our issue is by the time the deadline has passed, due to printing-related page restrictions. However—if you are able to show us a piece that is in progress and is close to being finished, we will consider accepting a late submission. Keep in mind though, that it must be in its final form within a week after the missed deadline, and submissions that are within the submission period always take priority.

You can also hit us with a submission for a future issue, which would follow a new color theme.

We typically respond to submissions within our call period in two weeks or less.

There are a few ways to make sure you receive an issue of Journal Club. The primary way being to email us at:

In your email, be sure to mention how you heard about us, where you’d like it to be sent, and how many issues you’d like. You may also want to check out our Instagram @jounalclubzine for more information and/or ways to request a print issue. We’re active as fuck on there.

Issues are sold at $5 and cost $3 for shipping if you would like to purchase one in support. If you are a contributor and have been accepted for publication, you are able to receive up to 2 issues for free!
